The Summit City Barbershop Chorus is part of the national Barbershop Singing Society founded in 1938. Today’s Society numbers nearly 30,000 men who enjoy singing as their hobby. The national organization has over 800 chapters with 1800 registered quartets. We have been part of the Fort Wayne community since 1946. The chorus is dedicated to being the best singers we can be. Competing at the national level is one of our primary goals. Today, we continually strive for excellence and actively compete in competition and perform musical shows which offer the best family style entertainment you can find anywhere. We pride ourselves in singing many different styles of music. Our programs try to include something for everyone. Broadway Show Tunes Spirituals Hymns Ballads Novelty/Comedy Love Songs All in that great Barbershop style. The Summit City Chorus and it’s quartets are ready to produce a fine evening of entertainment for your civic, or professional organization. Our group can produce anything from a half-hour quartet spot to a one hour harmony concert. Just give us room for at least 50 men and we’ll take care of the rest. Since all our singing is done without accompaniment, we can perform with the least of inconvenience and expense for you and your guests.
